Yachty is right, "Un litre huit", however, you (and all other Brits) need to be aware that decimal points and commas are inversed in French: what you would write and say as 1.8 "one point eight" is actually 1,8 "un virgule huit" in French. When dealing with money this could be a vital distinction between thousands and tenths!
