Poitou-Charentes - Help! Anyone with knowledge on cars? (Page 2): The AngloINFO Forum

Hi, Really appreciate this help, the car is a 98 with a full uk service history( I believe this to be genuine), done 124000 miles, I felt this was reasonable for a diesel? It passed a c.t less than 6 months ago so I am assuming the emmissions would be ok? I think I will definetly try some of the injector cleaner. It does not appear to be using / burning oil. In all other aspects it seems fine, good fuel consumption and smooth running, starts fine, keep fingers crossed!

Used to have a fiat diesel until recently and that did it for ages, it was the fuel filter but had only got worse after changing it, it wasnt until I had a play with the filter that it went away, I had tried to bleed it a few times but must have been getting air in somewhere

We had a similar problem with a turbo diesel.

Turned out to be one of the hoses to/from the turbo had split and wasn't expensive to fix.
