Hi Steve,

Sorry to bother you again, but we go home next week, we went down to Magiline last week and the lady who owns the Marina Sarl, tested our water(which we had already done) and the ph was great(for a change) at 7.3 but there was hardly any chlorine in it so we bought on her recommendation some chlor choc tablets and my husband dosed the pool with 37 tablets. 2 days later there was no change so he dosed it again with another 37 tablets, and again after a further 2 days.

At that point he checked the PH and it was 8.2, shock/horror we have overdosed.

Today we returned to Magiline and they suggested emptying the pool by a third and adding new water turning off the pump and leaving the pool as it is. As we are returning to home next week my husband proposed dosing the pool with PH minus until the PH ws correct then half emptying the pool and leaving the pump off for the winter.

Magiline agreed this could be a suitable solutionand we would call them out when we return in April, whats your opinion?

Leave the thing until spring. Cover it up and have a nice Christmas. Start again next year BUT gently gently. You seem to be seriously overdosing and then overdosing again to try to correct the overdosing. It is supposed to be water and not a cocktail of chemicals. It must be costing you a fortune.
Have faith it will come right in the end.
