I thoroughly enjoyed this tonight. I had not planned to watch it all, but glad I did ! All the girls out there, born prior to 1950 ., Did you see Grace Jones ? Born 19th May 1948 and there she was in great voice! in great shape ! and twirling a Hula-hoop around her trim waist and hips aged 64 years ! Nothing, absolutely nothing wobbled ! (Jealous or What ! )
The camera,s panned into Mr Cameron and he was in shock !! Could not believe his eye,s !! To think he only took a small tax in the welfare reform budget from pensioners.I bet tomorrow there will be another U-turn . No more free bus passes! We will get discount vouchers for the gym, redeemable against the purchase of a hula-hoop should we prefer it !! and why ever not ! We do look good for our years, and now we can reach for our hula-hoops which over night will be back in fashion again !.
I imagine there will be a Cabinet meeting tomorrow, to discuss the bringing into line womens pension retirement age, to that of our fella,s!! Because I don't know about all you other pre-1950 girls who saw her, I feel a hula-hoop session coming on ! I have ordered from M&S a jump suit 12/14, (I can do this) ready with the platform shoes for summer, along with a St Tropez spray tan !
My husband and I don't particularly care for her music, but he said, " I remember you once were like that!" I was a bit chuffed, but I felt it wasn't the right moment to ask which bit of me !! As it was a compliment after all !! and whilst I do remember a long time ago, having slim hips and waistline, I was never 6ft tall !! He was obviously impressed, ( Spec savers sprang to my mind !!) I feel now summer is here, I should make an effort to get myself in order.
Has anyone seen Hula-hoops that will fit around an ample waist for sale any where ?
