Hi. I was looking at property for sale and noticed a large number of properties for sale in Menigoute. It made me wonder...is something going to be built in the area, such as TGV line or windfarm?

Hello Bigbird79 No nothing is going to be built in Menigoute other than a filling station, which i understand is to be built on the road to Parthenay. New Bar is going to be in the square near the museum later this year! Wind farm was kicked out last year.!! Hope this helps.

Maybe you could send a quick email to the local Marie's office asking them - after all they are supposed to be in the know on these things.

Thanks for your replies. Yes, contacting the Mairie certainly works...avoided buying a property with a proposed 6 wind turbines 600metres away by doing just that, as the estate agent didn't mention them until I did! I was just curious about the unusual quantity of Menigoute properties on the market.
