To anyone out there cleverer than me (lots of you!)
We have just changed to an Orange package of broadband and landline where the landline goes through the Livebox. I have an email to say the service is now operating. I have set up the phone and I have a solid green light under the telephone symbol. But telephone is dead. I read that it is necessary to have a 'voice frequency' phone for compatibility and wonder if this is my problem. My phone is Alcatel Versatis D150 Voice and I have no idea whether this is compatible. Any advice very much appreciated.

A quick google shows your phone is not compatible.

I know it is obvious, but I assume that you have plugged the telephone into the livebox and not the wall.

Renee - thanks for replying. Yes I think I've got it connected to the livebox okay.
Twister - That seems to be it then. Have to buy a new phone. I did wonder but I couldn't find out. Thanks for doing it for me.

No problem.

When buying a new one, most of them have 'livebox compatible' written on them, or VOIP stated on the box.

Me too, but mine is a F200 and it works fine.
