I'm not anti hunting......i fish regularly but can anyone tell me how the law stands on hunting in france.
I live on the edge of open farmland,i have around a hectare of land.Every saturday the hunters patrol my border and their dogs run across my land/garden.....sometimes even pausing for a drink in my pool.
We've had 15 partridges visiting us every day for months and although i'm happy to eat them if i had the inclination to hunt them i'm not happy that they are hunted on my land as i'm getting quite fond of the little chaps.
Can anyone tell me my rights as i know France is rather laissez-faire in hunting terms.
I have chickens that are potentially at risk from the dogs as well as an aviary.
I've asked that they hunt further from my border.Without success.
I'd like to know if i have the right to shoot a dog on my land.....it's not anything i'd ever do but i'd just like to know where i stand.I'm thinking about getting a large powerful paint gun.....
I'm guessing the answer will be my land must be fenced so i can't do a thing but hey-ho we live in hope
