As the title says can anyone recommend somewhere nice, not too expensive to have lunch in Angouleme either tomorrow Saturday / or Monday depending on the weather!

  43, Rue Geneve, 16000 Angouleme, France   33 5 45 90 51 74   Best to get there at 12.00 if you have not reserved. Try to get a seat downstairs in the very atmospheric 'cave'. I think it is about 11 euros for main course, dessert and very good glass of wine. it is excellent. You will find it in the old quarter.

Also in the old quarter you will find just about every national resturant you can think of. We have never had problems just arriving in the area, diciding on what type of food we want and just walking in, getting a table and enjoying some great meals. would recommend booking if there is a few of you
