Well, I don;t know where we went wrong thegoodlife because we have always been charged for transferring from HSBC in the UK to HSBC Cognac! We have closed HSBC account in Cognac and are now with CA in our home town. Much lower monthly bank charge, 10 minutes down the road and contact with an English member of staff for any help we might need until we have come to grips with everything.
HSBC Premier offers the service thru Globalink. Seems to work very well and allows you to see all your HSBC international accts on one webpage.
